Learning from the personal implies achieving a certain level of self-understanding. If we were all to become aware of our own flaws and strengths, I believe the collective would become easier to deal with, the parts fixing themselves in order to fix the whole.

The part about the personal being history truly resonated. What if we consciously learned from our individual pasts like we do the colective?
